Some verses are stated of a woman's chart, others of a man's (the strī-jātaka chapters). Female or male applies the right ones and sets the others aside. The texts state no rules of an intersex (napuṃsaka) chart, so that choice, like leaving it unstated, presents both for what they are.
Several match factors — Varṇa, Tārā and Gaṇa — read in one direction, so one chart is taken as the primary reference and the reading is centred on that person. By tradition this is the man/groom; if in doubt, leave it as Partner A.
